The Expense Category Manager Doesn’t Have “Industry Insider” Knowledge Of Vendors’ True Support Capabilities
Price is one component of value, and vendor support is another.
I’ve often heard it said that everything affects everything else. In this context, I’m suggesting that phrase to mean that, if you request a higher level of vendor support, it’s likely going to affect your price.
That is unless you realize (as in “possess industry insider information”) that what you’re asking can be readily provided by vendors.
It’s a case of knowing what to ask.
The next reason complements this idea by looking at the vendors’ cost of providing their various support options.
